Just ran down to the shops and spent:

$2.50 on 750 gr of fruits: 1 nectarine, 1 pear, 1 banana, 2 plums

$3 on a 75 gr choc-chip Cornetto

Never realised how much cheaper fresh fruits are, compared to sweet processed snacks.

Still, scoffed down the icecream first thing. Hey, it’s 30 degrees outside today. Needed some cooling down.

Plus, if I eat all those fruits now, it’ll balance out, don’t you think? 😉

  1. Jack – as they sell it on the streets in Bangkok!

I’m just finding everything expensive here, from beer to sweets. Fruit’s not too bad, but even some of the imported stuff is ridiculous.

I’d not mind if I didn’t like the country so much that I want to spend a lot of time here!

  2. They sell it on the street here, but there is only one vendor and she walks around our area, recently it’s too hot, so a lot of street hawkers have gone places with lots of shade, but I really like sour green mango and some chilli salt, most of time in my area it’s easier to buy pre-packed fruit, or buy fresh fruit and chilli salt.

I also bought some stuff on my lunch break:

    2 apples, 1 banana & 1 corn for ————-$2.10
    1 Chocolate Eclair for—————————$2.99
Lebanese breads ( hehe Eclair cream dip) $1.30

and I noe one thing for certain: It wont never balance out -_-
